Lockdown Diaries
Picture
This was a very important series of work for me and still makes me emotional.

I was alone when Lockdown began, my husband having died 15 months earlier.  My very elderly father was living in sheltered accommodation nearby and he and I were in a “bubble”, which meant I could not see anyone else.  My dog, Barney became very important as I had to get up to take him out.

I started to record what was happening as Lockdown unfolded and completed Book One, thinking we had reached the light at the end of the tunnel.  I was wrong about that and a second book was needed.   I’m so glad I made these as we are already forgetting some of the things that happened.

These books were exhibited at a couple of exhibitions I was part of once we were free to exhibit and so many people told me I should make them into a printed book to publish, so that is what I did.
