I spent a fabulous week at Masseria della Zingara in September (yes this blog is very out of date). My husband travelled by motorbike and I flew to Bari and was collected and driven to this beautiful place. Our hosts were Andrew and Noreen Salmon (of FOQ and Knitting & Stitching fame) and I went to take a course with Pauline Burbidge. I had a lovely time playing with several other like-minded women and Pauline at monoprinting, mud printing, cyanotypes and stitching into everything. The place is beautiful with masses of inspiration everywhere you looked. The weather was kind; Andrew and Noreen were wonderful hosts; the food, cooked by Rosa, was amazing and Pauling was enthusiastic and inspiring! These are some of the photos I took of the place and the work we did. | |

This is were we ate in the shade.
We had some delicious local fish for lunch one day - these are cyanotypes "curing" in the sun of the fish skeletons!
